AsiaPharm achieves 68.7% net profit rise

ASIAPHARM Group, a China-based specialty pharmaceutical group, yesterday said net profit for the year ended Dec 31, 2004, soared 68.7 per cent to 71.8 million yuan (S$14.2 million) with revenue rising 32.5 per cent to 315.4 million yuan. AsiaPharm's impressive set of results was propelled by the strong growth in sales of pharmaceutical drugs, which grew 53.5 per cent to 225.7 million yuan.
